The Wooden raft, formerly known as Wooden Raft, is a Boat in Cube Life: Island Survival. It is the first method of transportation the player achieves.
Technical[]
- Wooden Rafts move faster than Barry can swim, but still slower than the Canoe.
- Wooden Rafts are crafted with Five Parts, a Sail, Raft floor, Palm log, Rope and a Rudder.
- The Wooden raft can be controlled using separate controls than the normal movement controls, so the player can move about on the raft.
- Ramming into a Block will deal damage to the raft.
- The raft will bounce off the block upon contact.
- As long as the raft is moving it will take damage.
- Sharks will not target the player while he is standing on a Wooden raft, and if a shark touches the raft it will be forced underneath it.
- Punching the raft causes 0.33 damage.
- The Wooden raft can be used to run over Cannibals, which deals a Critical hit.
Strategy[]
- Obtain as soon as possible, as this is very useful for traveling, until you craft the Motorboat.
- Crafting all of these parts will take 41 Palm Logs, 3 Pieces of Grass, a Shark Fin, a piece of Shark skin, five pieces of Boar leather and four Sticks (The Sticks are crafted from the extra Palm plank, once you craft the Raft, you'll have 3 Palm Wood Planks left-over).
- Always try to carry at least one extra raft with you when voyaging, so that if one raft breaks you won't be stranded.
- Never touch land with your raft.
History[]
- Wooden Rafts have been in the game since version 1.0. Their name was changed and their texture was updated in Version 1.5. The sail now bellows in the wind and the raft bounces up and down on the waves. Version 1.6 and Version 1.6.1 saw several improvements to the Wooden raft's health and fixed many bugs, such as one where Mobs could destroy the raft by running it aground. Version 1.8.1 improved boat physics, and made it so rafts only took damage when they were moving, so now players may stand on the raft without damaging it.
